Food Soul is a technology based Social Venture in consumer food industry and the object is to raise funds through sales from the online platform and donate its profits to Viraaj Foundation which is a Not for Profit section 8 registered company building charity Hospital in Bhopal.
The Bhopal headquartered startup was founded in 2014 by Brijendra Raj Singh and Sarika Rajput, and has operations spanning across India & Globe, today works with close to 2000 partners across the food supply chain. These partners comprise manufacturers, retail merchants, distributors, Indian and global brands.
The journey of Foodsoul Started in 2013 when the Co founders – Brijendra Raj Singh and Sarika Rajput were not getting the quality wheat flour and were not happy with the product they used, due to shortage of time and convenience they preferred to buy packed wheat flour. After lot of research they found all the branded packed wheat flours available in the market were of same quality which did not met their expectations, what every product missed was the quality that of wheat milled at a small flour mill which is available in every colony in India. Understanding the need they had, it was also actually required by every house hold, Co founders decided to venture out and this laid the foundation of Foodsoul.
In 2014 Farm Fresh Foods came into existence with manufacturing facility in central India with Flours, Spices, Pulses, Cereals, Rice and Snacks to its bucket, Delivering the The Taste of MP Off late did we realized and noticed that most of the small and medium-sized shops and manufacturer delivering local cuisine and popular taste had no online presence. Thus to give them a platform and long-tail food marketplace shifted to e-commerce connecting across small towns and cities of India, delivering taste lovers extra reach and get the original local taste they loved.
